What We Do?

We admit HIV +ve children and women who are orphans, widows and poor & who have been stunned from their families. We help them by providing basic needs of food, clothing, shelter & education.

Diet
We provided High Protein Diet to our children and house mothers. Due to high protein diet immune system became strong and child became healthy. Medication
Mamta is associated with 4 hospitals in Pune, namely * Sasoon Hospital, * Kamla Nehru Hospital, * Armed Force Medical College (AFMC), * Bharti Hospital.
Our children are taken batch wise to these hospitals for various medical tests & routine check up. Also we get free medicine from Sahyadri Hospital, IMA & various doctors in Pune. We also have doctors who volunteer with us to look after the health of our children & women... Know More»

Education
Mamta Foundation has achieved a very good success in children Education. Our children go to Pune Municipal School at Katraj. We have ensured that our children get schooled with other children. 'Mamta' is a project for the welfare of HIV positive children and women. We are registered under the Charitable Trust Act of India. Mamta is among the very few residential projects in this field. Why HIV positive child ?

Lack of awareness about HIV and AIDS leads to rejection from main stream society. India registered 5.7 million cases in 2007. Maharashtra ranked 4th in India and Pune scored 2nd in the state. Rehabilitation facilities for such children are not in proportion to the increasing number of registered cases. Hence our primary aim is to increase the life span by providing high protein diet, nutritional support and medical treatment, bring them in the main stream by providing basic education and exposure to society, provide rehabilitation, community health, women empowerment and spreading awareness and enabling social acceptance. We create an atmosphere of love, care, happiness and understanding for each child to ensure physical, emotional and overall development.
